Overview
The Brand Seasons® Playdeck created by design studio These Are The Days is a practical tool to help creatives craft a brand that feels like home. Inspired by the natural cycle of the seasons, the deck guides users through four phases: strategy, style, story and substance.
We partnered with them to create a video and suite of stills that reflected the soul of the project — warm, thoughtful, and rooted in rhythm. The work supported her campaign across Substack, Kickstarter and Instagram.
Aims
To produce a campaign video that clearly communicated the Playdeck’s concept, story and tactility — and to create a library of content that could serve the campaign and beyond.
The video and imagery needed to feel both polished and personal — inviting potential backers into the world of the studio while offering enough clarity to convert interest into pledges.
Approach
We collaborated closely with These Are The Days on the creative direction of the film. From storyboarding to storytelling, the aim was to reflect her vision, voice and values.
All footage and photography were captured on the Panasonic Lumix S5 IIX, with a simple aesthetic and natural styling. Edited in Adobe Premiere, the final video was delivered in multiple formats — a 16:9 film for Kickstarter and cutdowns for Instagram reels and stories. We also shot a set of stills, flat lays and product details for press and promotion.

Results
The campaign exceeded its original target, with many backers citing the video as the reason they pledged.
The final deliverables were used not just on Kickstarter, but across websites, socials and emails. The project was also selected for Kickstarter’s Forward Fund with Creative Scotland — adding visibility and increasing funding to help bring the card deck to life.
