Three months on and it is good to see that people are still raising money for the victims of the earthquake and for the re-building of the capital. I read about the Haiti Poster Project again this morning and picked out some favorites. My husband was out in February and more friends have just returned with the 4th trip since the earthquake with the charity Lemonaid and a team of 21 including plumbers and welders went out and the ‘Rebuild Haiti’ poster suited the purpose of that trip.
If you aren’t bored of reading about it – Good magazine were accepting submissions for illustrated statistics on the earthquake and relief which are worth looking at and here is the winner. My husband Dan posted a blog on his experience and a sound recording on ‘Sixty Seconds Somewhere Else‘ and some photos of his trip too if you’re interested on the personal experience more than statistics.

My husband – Dan Lyth, releases his first Christmas album today. Four of his own songs and two covers of carols – one in Latin!
You can read a review by Craig Rennie here.
You can listen to one track and buy the cd here.
In the mean time, here is a video of the letter press process with a medley of the Christmas album over the top. Enjoy!

Dan Lyth‘s single ‘Oh no he isn’t! Oh yes he is!’ is out today. I actually had very little to do with it, except from drawing shapes for the swirly shapes on the hand made miniature stage and the onbody artwork.
The video is shot on several cine films using a super 8 camera. Dan and Colin Grant worked on the video early last year in the freezing cold for hours. Our neighbors even called the police on them at one point due to all the clothes changes in the alley behind our house. Fair enough, I suppose. Anyway, a novelty to see a piece of super 8 footage any day, and this is just the video.
The single download bundle includes:
the single track, the super 8 video (exclusive), live track ‘When we got there’ and a remix of the single – all for £1.50 which seems to be a pretty good deal.
You can buy them all here.
