Our team
ILCK are web architects.
A small evenly balanced team of Designers and Developers who consult with our clients to help them create better businesses using the web. We’re increasingly focusing in on how we can help projects succeed, rather than just designing to a brief. If you’re looking for people who can make your business idea work, you’ve come to the right place!
Stephen Gray
Stephen focuses on the functional side of web development, but with a close eye on attractive design, usability and accessibility. He has an MSc in Software Development for the Web at Napier University. In another life, he was Communications Manager for the Royal Lyceum Theatre Company. What do you love about what you do?
I still get a thrill from building cool things that seem substantial from basically nothing… it’s a bit like magic.
What’s the best part of your day?
Every day is different, but morning coffee is always there.
How do you fit in the ILCK team?
If ILCK was a plane, Ben and I would be one wing, Sarah L and Jo would be the other and Sarah R and Colin would be the engines.
Where do you go for inspiration?
Wherever it is, it’s by bike. Fresh air and the open road…
Get things done or Make things happen?
I’m a GTD disciple. Quite a fundamentalist actually.
Favourite places of the world to visit?
Bolivia and Japan are top of the money-no-object list at the moment.
One thing that nobody knows about you (that may or may not be true)
I am a direct descendant of Julius Caesar and still own some land in Rome.
5 things you can’t live without on the web
Dropbox, Gmail, Google Calendar, Remember the Milk and Flash… only joking.
One invention that hasn’t been invented yet that you wish would hurry up and be invented?
A usable central heating timer.
