Our team
ILCK are web architects.
A small evenly balanced team of Designers and Developers who consult with our clients to help them create better businesses using the web. We’re increasingly focusing in on how we can help projects succeed, rather than just designing to a brief. If you’re looking for people who can make your business idea work, you’ve come to the right place!
Sarah Lyth
Sarah is our lead designer and specialises in UI design as well as planning large scale websites. With a degree in Photography she has a keen eye for detail and is also the only one in the office who can actually draw. She makes a mean site map and very strong coffee.
What do you love about what you do?
I figured out after art college that simply making things look good is what I’m best at and what I enjoy the most. I love that I get to do that each day – it’s always a satisfying task.
What’s the best part of your day?
My 9am snack, cup of tea and a quick bookmarking of blog entries for future inspiration – this gears me up for the day ahead.
How do you fit in the ILCK team?
Having a strong focus on design, and generally less techy one, I see things from a different perspective, which seems to come in handy.
Where do you go for inspiration?
I’d love to say books but I get most of my inspiration from a lot of different blogs and using Delicious makes gathering it so much easier than books and post its. That said, I do love physical copies of books and the printed copy itself is inspiring.
Get things done or Make things happen?
Get things done – I love to tick things off my list.
Favourite places of the world to visit?
India! A road trip to Sweden, Norway and Holland (and a few other stops along the way) and an American road trip are currently at the top of the list.
One thing that nobody knows about you (that may or may not be true)
I’ve never had the skills for Balderdash and I reckon most facts about me are out there somewhere.
Thing you can’t live without on the web
Delicious – I would be absolutely gutted if it ceased to exist.
One invention that hasn’t been invented yet that you wish would hurry up and be invented?
Bit annoyed that we’re years behind on getting the hover board from Back to the Future.
